My Story

The Weight of Words

A purposeful story has an everlasting impact. Through my studies of psychology, I realised that every experience carries some emotional trace, however small. Language is how that trace gets carried forward, because it represents a shared understanding, and that understanding is built from culture, which shapes the way we speak, write, and think. Words are therefore an infinitely powerful tool, capable of exchanging an entire culmination of community and history within a matter of seconds. That is why I value the power of language so much, the history that has shaped how we use it today, and the responsibility we carry to shape how it is used tomorrow.
